I here the earlier RV-3's were better boxes. Later ones were made in Taiwan. Anyone know when the change took place and how to tell the difference i.e. pink label= ??

I have a WET reverb and a DD-5 now so should I even bother? One box is convenient no?.

thanx

I think you are better off with two separate units.
I tried an RV-3 and the different combinations of reverb and delay are too limited.

I have one of each, and use them interchangeably.
I don't hear any difference between the two.

Pete, same here - I didn't hear any difference. Meanwhile I have replaced the RV-3 with an Earthquaker Dispatch Master.

if i didn't have anything else, the rv3 is a single unit that will get you by. certainly better than some boxes and way better than nothing.

I had a pink back and a gray back. I couldn't hear the difference.

There seems to be a lot of players using them.

Another alternative is the Earthquaker Dispatch Master. Search the reviews on the forum. The delays are great, but there's only one reverb on board. At least the RV-3 has 4 reverbs with delay to choose from.
