Ive finally saved enough $ to get a Roland Cube 80XL.
One of the music stores here in Waco still had a new one-the discontinued one-
still in the box.Any help with presets would be greatly appreciated.

Click on the search function of the forum, and enter "Cube 80XL Settings". You'll find plenty. _________________ Amateur Radio Operator NA4IT (Extra)

Jeff,
Maybe this'll get ya underway.
Click on ~> THIS and ~> THIS
The 80X and 80XL are pretty
much the same, save for a
few 'bells & whistles.

Russ, thank you very much.I need all of the help I can get.
I got my steel back in March.I bought it from one of my steel players in one of the bands I was in.It is my most favorite instrument on the planet.Ive always been a front man until my last back surgery made me to where I can't stand and play and sing anymore, so I figured ,"If I have to sit down now on the bandstand,I'll make myself useful by trying to figure this MONSTER out".
Thanks again for your help. |

Hey Russ, kind of an irony here, I clicked on ur FB link and noticed that V Gill tune with Tommy White on steel.Tommy helped me with presets on my Fender Deluxe,& even more than that, Vince is singing 6pk to go,& that's a Hank Thompson tune,& Hank Thompson is from here, Waco Tx.
Kind of a really neat irony.
Small world.
I'm sending you a Friend Request.I notice you and Mickey Adams are friends. He and I are as well. He's going to post a lesson on my request of Paycheck's "If You Think You're Lonely".Beautiful steel rides in this tune.Ck it out if you've never heard it.
The steel on the chorus gives me goosebumps.
It's on YouTube.
The rides in this song are what makes me love the steel. |
