D-10 CARTER 8x9 very nice

Post by Jerry Foster »

I am selling my D-10 Carter 8x9, I am going back to a lite single neck pedal steel. this Carter use to belong to Steve Palousek, It is the Emmons setup on both necks.there is 6 knee levers & 4 floor pedals for the E/9th & 5 floor pedals & 5 knee levers on the C/6th :D there were only 200 of this modal made. this has the sqare alum. necks on it & 10-1 George L pickups on both necks, it sounds great. I am pricing it to sell and make someone very happy. it is a maple color. very pretty . I am asking 2550.00 firm & that includes shipping in lower 48 USA. thanks & God Bless, Jerry Foster

You got to love those Carter guitars. Best steel around for the price. I think you will sell it "in the wink of an eye" if you post a picture.

D-10 Carter 8x9

Post by Jerry Foster »

Hello tony, I will try to explain the setup. E/9TH LKL inside raises E's 1/2 tone,LkL outside raises 7th hole tone & 2nd 1/2 tone & first STRING HOLE TONE, LKR lowers the E's 1/2 TONE, vertical KL lowers 5-10 1/2 tone.RKL lowers the 6th hole tone & splits 1/2 + tone with the B pedal applied, RKR lowers 10th hole tone, lowers 9th 1/2 tone , 2nd lowers hole tone. the #1 A pedal raises 5 & 10 1/2 TONE, 2ND pedal raises 3 & 6 1/2 tone, 3rd pedal raises 4th & 5th hole tone, 4th pedal lowers the 5th string a hole tone, I do the frankin buy pressing the 4th pedal & lowering the 6th string RKL. hope this helps, THE C/6th is the basic pulls on the 5 floor pedals, THE Knee levers, LKL lowers the 2nd string 1/2 tone & lowers, the first string a hole tone, LKR RAISES the 3rd string 1/2 tone, the vertical KL LOWERS the 5th string a hole tone, RKL lowers the 3rd string a 1/2 tone. RKR raises the 4th string 1/2 tone. I hope this helps. Jerry F.

Carter's are great guitars........ and real bargins for the $$ they are going for.

Here's is a quote from Bruce Bouton

B.B.

“I used the Carter for three years on the road with Reba. It stayed in tune better than any guitar I had owned. It also had no cabinet drop and worked flawlessly without out return compensators. I wanted a longer scale so I switched to the Zum for my touring guitar. It´s another outstanding machine. I use a Franklin for most of my studio work these days.”

Very nice, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Carters guitars. Not only are they well built and sound and play good, Carter was the only steel vendor at the steel shows that had a guitar set up for us Day players. Always had a great time at the Carter booth.
