4th of July: Cal Expo, Sacramento

Cal Expo fairgrounds in Sacramento will be hosting the largest fireworks show of the region on the 4th at the Miller Grandstand. Admission is free. Parking is $10. Reserved seats are available for $10 online. The gates open at 4:30. Fireworks are at about 9:30.

Four local country(ish) bands will be playing, including Blackwater. Music starts about 5:30. I'm not sure when Blackwater plays. I believe we are the second act, so we will probably kick off about 6:30. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. This is a family oriented event.

Darn it! The gig cancelled due to a wildfire burning onto Cal Expo. All music was cancelled, but they are still considering holding the fireworks show at 9:30 pm. Priorities!!! We sat around for three hours in the heat (mid to high 90s) waiting for the final word. Mad
