George Guards

Hope I'm in the right pew here. Just put my first George Guard on my 112 but really don't understand why you'd have to have it under the front corners. It will work great by just taking out the front screws and screwing it in from the outside. It will definetly keep bad things from happening to your knobs!! Loren.

Loren, it is just for appearance that I put the guards underneath the corners. I don't like to see the raw edges of the guards showing and it looks more like it was factory installed if it is underneath the corners.

I have a Peavey Valve King amp and I had to mount it below the corner. It works just as well but has a "scabbed on" home made look to it in my opinion. This method should work on any amp, but I just don't think it has a professional look to it.

I have had others do the same thing as you and if the looks doesn't bother you, then no problem. It works just as good.
