2nd string split on a p/p.

I tune to D#, raise to E with LKV, lower to D/C# with RKL (feel stop for the D is the hit on 9th string lower). I think this is the normal set up.
With the RKL in the C# position, I raise the C# to D with the LKV.(The LKV also raises the 1st string F# to G# and I use that hit as a feel stop for the D).
This split is easy on an A/P guitar, however; the 1st string gets raised to G# and thats not good for me!
Does any one else have this set-up? Is there a better way?
