Two years Ray Walker has been gone Home

Post by Sam White »

Yes two years coming up the 15TH of this month and I still miss my good Buddy Ray Walker. This man would do any thing for a fellow Steel guitar player. and friend. Ray was a great guy and it is a shame that such talent has gone alone with all the other great Steel Guitar players.
Rest in piece my friend.

Ray Walker

Ray WAS a nice guy...and we ALL miss him.

Those wonderful Walker seats are STILL being built
exactly the same way Ray built them. Billy Knowles
in Kenansville at STEEL GUITAR EAST....is STILL
building the WALKER STEEL GUITAR SEAT...just like
Ray built them...and they still have the WALKER LOGO
on them...the very same WALKER metal seal they always
had! AND...They are STILL wonderful! Ask TOMMY
WHITE at the GRAND OLD OPRY!

Walker Seats are still available for sure. Here is a picture I took at Mid Atlantic Steel Guitar Association jam at Thomasville NC. The one second from the right is now mine. Thanks Billy Knowles. Great job. Mr Walker would be proud.
