How close are you levers to your legs? My RK levers are 6” apart, while my left levers are 7 1/2" apart. I suppose is is standard as the right leg is straight while the left leg goes in at an angle, but since I'm thinly built, it seems like there is a lot of room between my thigh and my left levers. On this particular guitar, I could change the LKR placement without touching the cross shaft so I'm very tempted to try it.

What kind of guitar? On many of them, you can adjust the angle easily enough. On some, it might be easier to take out the rod and move it over.

Hi Lane,

It's a very early Desert Rose formerly owned by Gary Morse. Can't really change the angle on that one, not enough to make up for a inch and a half, which is how much I'm planning to move it over. It connects to the cross shaft with a rod, so I'll just need to unscrew the bracket and move the lever assembly, and use a longer rod. Seems easy enough. I think I'm at the point where I want to get more involved with the mechanics of my guitar and empower myself a little bit.

Yeah, if the lever meets rod via a link rod, that's easy.
Also the reason Bruce Zumsteg liked using a transverse link for his *KR levers: you could put the lever wherever they fit and the rod wherever it was convenient.
