Duane Allman, Lee Jeffries, and Sacred Steel (not the metal band)...they're all in there...

Playing over a shuffle beat never gets old!

Smokin'! as always, Steve. I'm really digging the sound of that Lollar pickup. It breaks up just the right amount.

Thanks Doug.
Yeah, the more I play those Lollar's, the better I like 'em. I just got back from playing an afternoon concert..."Sleepwalk" was on the agenda, and the PUs gave me a sweetness I was definitely missing before. I recently put in an NOS oil+paper capacitor, and that helped as well.

Lots of influences as you say, Steve, but around 1:25 on I heard pure Cunningham - an influence on everybody else!

Steve I've always enjoyed your phrasing. I'd say the George Michael was supreme. Great job.

As a very wet-behind-the-ears lap steeler sifting through the myriad of good and bad steel guitar youtube videos, I'd have to say that Steve Cunningham is one of my influences that I hope to wear on my sleeve someday. Your style demos are some of the best. I just wanna be able to sound like you for 8 bars!

Steve, which Lollar pickups are you using? They (well, you) sound fantastic. Also, what amp are you playing through, effects chain if any, etc.?

Thanks guys.

John, the Lollars are his Stringmasters. I'm playing through a Peavey Delta Blues amp with a 15" speaker, and using a POD XTLive for effects.
