I got this beauty back from Mike Cass just in time for Halloween!

A stunning total restoration on my very first Emmons D-10 9&8 Push-Pull I bought back in 1978 (used to belong to Mike Smith - Dreams of India album)This guitar was in VERY ROUGH shape when I gave it to Mike, so we decided to go with a new orange sunburst color. Of course it plays and sounds as good as it looks - thanks to Mike! Image

Dyke,

Great pics! Beautiful and unique looking finish. Is that mica or lacquer?

Congratulations! Happy Halloween!

Dyke,
Your axe & my 75PP were both in "Dr Cass's" hospital at the same time. I got mine back about 6 months ago and can't say enough about the super job he did on mine.

Jim, I hope my PP caught some licks from yours while in Mike's hospital! Image
I think Mike Smith told me this guitar was a 1974. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

That´s one of the prettiest Emmons guitars I´ve ever seen. I really like the lacquer finished ones better than formica. Sometimes I wonder what Mike Cass might have done to mine if I had sent it to him, but that one really would have been a whole lot of work for him... first, I would have asked him to put the missing C6 neck back on...

Enjoy that Emmons! - Joe H.

I saw this guitar on Mike's bench and, amazingly enough, it looks even more incredible 'in person' than it does in these photos. P/P heaven! Congratulations!

Glad to see that Mike resurected the "Sultan". Beautiful job and congrats Dyke for the humanitarian effort. I'll bet it plays far better than when I labored with it over 25-years ago. (I don't think I ever officially called it the "Sultan" but I think a few friends did because of that original album cover. Maybe just "gorgeous" will do.)

By the way, I miss seeing those autumn leaves on the trees and ground. Cactus pretty much stay the same year round.
