1st string F#>G#: move off of RK?

Forumites,
RE: 1st string F#>G#. I would use this change more, but it's on my RKL, and every time I hit the lever my foot backs off the volume pedal. So by the time I max the lever out the change is really quiet.
Has any one moved this change off of their RK levers for this reason?
BTW - I noticed that BE put this change on a pedal.

Drew, try moving your pedal away from the pedalboard! I once had a student who had the same problem, and when I suggested he move the pedal back about 6" from the pedalbar, the "problem" disappeared.

I had the same problem with that lever, but I was lowering #2. I play the Day setup, and all of lowers move to the left and my raises move to the right. I moved my foot back on the volume pedal and moved it closer to the RKL, so I didn't have so far to go. It also keeps my knee from accidentally getting on the RKR.

I reversed the two inside knee levers. My LKR lowers the sixth string (G# to F#) and raises the first (F# to G#). My RKL drops the E's to Eb. I think this is fairly common.

I put that change on pedal 4, it is not connected to the C neck any more, so it was just sitting there longing to be stepped on.

Drew,
Since I use the Day setup, I get that change on my LKL. I almost put it on the 4th pedal like Larry and Tommy White but talked myself out of it for fear it would interfere with the other pedals. I think PF uses RKR to get that change.

Drew,
I don't think the solution lies in the setup. When you chance that, there will be another change that will be backed-off by your volumepedal-technique..
I think the only way to go is, practise your volume-pedal technique, while using this change on that RKL lever. Do it real slow, and perfect. If this works, speed up the tempo. Think about the Joe Wright approach, don't know if he has a video out called: 'secret of the (W)right foot'
