Hello
I've never seen one in person. Via YouTube I can see that the red/burgundy is a metallic finish.
Is the Black a metallic as well? And is the ivory plain or a little on the pearly side?
Thanks,

I believe the ivory is plain. Not sure about the black. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. Behringer Reverb Pedal. |

I have all three colors. The black is plain black, not metallic and the white is (off white). The newer models have an improved slotted bridge and nut rather than the stamped older models. If you get an older model you can grove the nut & bridge with a mini file as I did. The most fun you can have for $199.00 |

You're right about these being fun. I also like the way the tone control works by phasing from single coil to humbucker. I got mine for $125 brand new because it had a buzz on the first string. I simply put the correct gauge strings on and it was fine. The stamped steel nut on the earlier models weren't mounted correctly and threw off the fretboard markings quite considerably in the high end. I had to move mine up about an 1/8" over the line to get the important part of the nut perpendicular to end of the fretboard to correct that.
I also don't like the upper part of the body where it's supposed to wrap around your belly. I find that just seems to get in the way of my left hand when I play the upper end, so I just took a saw and hacked it off one day. It's all torn apart now and I'm just going to grind it and carve it so it looks like it grew out of the ground in the form of a lap steel. |

Thanks Jim, Len, and Ron
Not only for the colour info, but also the tips on the newer models, and the bridge and tone control guidance.
It is great the way one always gets a few extra pointers in the answer to one's question on this forum.
