b0b,

On your extended E9 tuning the LKL raises the top two E's to F and drops the low E to C#. Is this the boo-wah change (7#9)?

thanks,

Drew Howard

If I didn't raise the 8th string, it would be a 7#9. As it is, it just gives me the root tone of the C#7 chord formed with the F lever. On rare occasions I include the D string to get a 7b9, but that chord is too jazzy for must of the songs I play.

Thanks for asking. Image
