Finesse to burn, tight ensemble work and JB's great Bakelite tone. What's not to like?

Sounds like Chet on guitar. This tune is in the Forum catalog. It's the title track of a JB compilation cassette called "This N' That". I believe the album was compiled by Tom Bradshaw.

Better place to look and listen

"THIS & THAT" by Jerry Byrd can be heard on the JERRYBYRD-FANCLUB.com

along with dozens of other songs on which Jerry recorded.

There's a page on the JBFC that lists every album Jerry did, individual songs therein, and, recording locations.

anybody seen something like this?

Has anybody seen a list of all jb tracks that he's recorded on? I'm most interested in anything before mid 50's where he is backing up a hillbilly/country/western artist?

I love the way he plays and I'd really like to listen to more of his stuff so I can pick up some licks and ideas for backing up singers.

I bought the five JB cassette package in the early 90's ... Tom Bradshaw assembled them from JB's personal records ... Some really cool stuff ...

This bootleg CD was out there too and for all I know, may still be out there. At least when Bruce Clarke reissued old steel music without official copyright holder sanction he did it with the utmost attention to detail and beautiful packaging.
