I just plugged my dd-7 into my Nashville 112 and after about 5-10 minutes my amp started making really weird deep alternating sounds. It was plugged in between the volume pedal and the high gain input of the amp. I removed the pedal and it still does it. I smelled a little bit of plastic so I'm sure I smoked something. It just seems weird that this would happen to these seemingly robust products. Any thoughts?

Thanks

The DD7 wouldn't have caused it. Sounds like something fried inside. Generally once you let the smoke out, it gets expensive to reinstall.
