Advice from James Kerr designer of Springfield guitar

Post by Stewart Campbell »

Hi James My Springfield pedal steel was subjected to a lot of flood water during severe recent floods, dirty water had ingress into the changer causing sting No. 4 to be slow to return to pitch. My problem is the removal of the balance springs so I can dismantle the changer for cleaning etc. Any advice on how to remove these springs would be welcome-
