Red Rajah Bars
I just received my Red Rajah bar and picks, and if you havent tried one yet you are really missing out. I didn't realize how much friction there was in my old bar until I tried out the Red Rajha. Boy they are slicker than snot. Also the picks do stay on your fingers. Mine was a 3and3/8 and weighs 8.4 oz. 7/8 dia. They come bigger and smaller. Try one and you'll be glad you did.

Dittos, Pete. I love my Red Rajah, but it doesn't like stainless steel strings. Using it on stainless, the bar began to develop a few rough spots. Funny thing though, I continued to use that same bar but only on nickel strings, and the rough spots mysteriously went away in about a week's time. It's as good as new again. Who knew?

How much more "traction" does your index finger get on the Rajah? My finger slips too much on my chrome bar. If that finger didn't have a touch of artheritus in the joints it would work a little better. I have been thinking of a Rajah as a replacement for my chrome. (Or maybe I can glue some velcro "hook" on my bar and make a "loop" finger sleeve to wear!)
Budd,
I havent used the bar enough to give you an honest appraisal of the grip yet. It is suposed to bestickey on the fingers and slippery on the strings. Slippery on the strings it sure is. This in itself may help your situation some. I know that the picks stay on my fingeres better, and dont come off.

Just getting back into the PSG world and was wondering how the tone sounded using the Red Rajah bar and picks. It sounds like a product I would like to look into. Is there a internet site or some where I can look and find out more about purchasing this product? Thanks for the help and information.

I have used the Red bar since Scotties last year. A good friend on mine Dean Neeley let me try his and I had to have one. I dropped mine on the driveway and it chiped the end but was still very useable. I took it with me to Scotties a couple of weeks ago and they replaced it with a black bar. They were out of the red ones. I also purchased another black bar and keep one in the house and one in the van. Its the best bar I have used yet and is very slick on the strings and stays put in your hand.
This thread had a lot of comparisons on bars, materials, and strings:
