Zum, Changing pickup

Post by Earl Yarbro »

I need to change the pick on my Zum D10 to get a mellow sound. It is too bright for my liking. Is this a major operation, that requires soldering or is it pretty simple?
Would someone recommend a pick up to accomplish this. Thanks

Earl

Earl
Can you get a mellow sound by turning down the treble on your amp?

September 5, 2002,
Hi Earl,
The George Ls Humbucking pickup model PF1 (PF for Paul Franklins tone preference)
will take this sharp treble off and give a more mellow sound.
Kind regards
Henning

Consider Lawrence 910's. I just got them on my new Zum and they are sweet. You will have to do a little soldering, but it's not brain surgery.
