Hal's left hand movements are very unique and recognizable even without seeing him. He sure was an incredible player!!!!

| That's definitely Hal. Those award shows like Music City News, CMAs, and the early TNN tv specials had Bill Walker as music director and he used full orchestra with string sections and brass as well as using a core country band of bass, drums, guitar, steel, etc. He used Hal Rugg and Jimmy Capps in all of those bands for that era, as well as Billy Linneman, Fred Newell, and other great musicians. It's cool hearing Hal's solo as well as Russ Hicks' original solo on the album. |
