How do you mount your Alumitone pickup in your pedal steel? Thanks. |

It usually takes a little engineering, I've installed them on some MSA's and was able to mount them to the original pickup mounting plate with a little modification.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

Jim, I bought this used, and this is what it came with. I've never mounted it, but it looks like there's 4 screws to mount the pup to the plastic plate, and the plate has the wide mount hole pattern.. using this, it looks like the mounting plate would have to be 'set' first, then the pup screwed to it last, as the adjustment screws would be obscured by the pup..no idea what the foam pieces are for...
