Wrist Sweat Band!

I have found that wearing a sweat band on my right wrist protects the strings on the bottom neck from sweat when I am playing. I also find it more comfortable when I tend to rest my wrist on the bottom neck strings. Any one else ever tried this? Justin "Jud French

Excuse me?
If you right wrist is sweating, it might be an indication of something more serious. I'd have that checked out if'n I was uze.
WHY would you REST your right hand on anything? How does this give you freedom for diffent picking combinations and/or chord rolls?
But...what do I know? This world appears to be moving faster than I can keep up with.

You may be onto something there. My right forearm sweats on the pad (SD-10) and restricts my movement. I've tried placing a piece of cloth under my forearm but it just slides off to the floor. I may try the sweatband. Where do I get one?

You get them in the tennis section at the sporting goods store. I just used one Sunday in 90 degree heat. They're great for wiping the sweat off your forehead on the fly. You can get em in different colors too!

I have a guitar cloth with a couple of small velcro sections adhered to it and a small piece just on the inside edge of the rear neck. I just anchor the cloth there and it keeps the oils and skin acids from deteriorating the back neck strings. Really makes my back neck strings last longer.

Hey Justin,
Glad to see you posting on the Forum. I like your idea about the band and I'm going to try one out. By the way, Larry said to tell you we're playing at the Moonlight Room in Chesapeake (Bowers Hill) on Saturday night the 24th and we hope you can make it out. It'll be good to see you again. Have a good 'un.......Jerry

Hey Jerry, Thanks to you and all that replied to this posting. The wrist band serves the same purpose as the cloth (Steel Guitar Rag). Its a way to protect our prize possessions, the steel guitars.
