Tim Sergent plays steel for Dierks. Clay Cook plays steel, in addition to guitar, but not sure if he'd be on steel with Zac Brown Band. Not sure if the Dixie Chicks use steel now, though-in past years, Lloyd Maines and Robby Turner have played steel for the Chicks
Brett is the man

You beat me to it again I know about Tim and Clay and do not have any idea about the chicks.

Pete Finney as well. Tim Sergent has also played for the Chicks, we had a thread about this recently.

Hey! Maybe I could double dip if they aren't carrying a steel player. HaHa!
This is gonna be a fun couple of days. Dublin on the 14th and London, England on the 15th. I wish there were more dates over there.
I hope to see all of my steel playing friends that I met the last time I was over there.

Double pay those days, Tim ! I mean, you're an independant business man and have to pay for insurance and such....I'm just tryin' to help a bro out ! Tell the "Chicks" you even dress up like Toby...
(that's some funny stuff right there..Lord please forgive me and be with the pygmies down in New Guinea)

Well Tim didn't get to double dip, not on this gig anyway!
Great steel playing and some excellent dobro that cut through the mix really well. Nice job Tim. Thanks

Thanks, Michael. We should had a great time over there, although the trip was WAY too short. The Country to Country Concert series is a really cool thing and I hope it continues to grow and grow.
It was great to see and spend some time with the Chicks again. Haven't seen them in 14 years I guess. The Fly Tour in 2000 was my last tour with them. They still sound great.
I love Ireland! I thought about flying my wife over there with me, but it just wasn't enough time to take in all of the beautiful sights the country has to offer. We will make it over there one day I hope. Maybe I could come over and play the Irish Steel Guitar Festival someday!! That would be great.

Tim, I would love to see you at the Irish Steel Guitar Festival in October, Jay Dee Maness was incredible last year

I'll mention this post to organiser and forum member Richard Nelson.
All the best, keep up the good work Tim.

They might be able to borrow Sarah Jory if they need some good steel pickin'!
