Hello! Very Happy as always, my fellow steelers!
Here is a slide presentation, of my accidental beginnings, into the world of recording, at my own little, ( but soon to evolve)studio. I just thought, I might share my dreams with you. By the way, I used "Detroit Metro" as my backgroung music. It just seemed appropriate. Smile Be blessed, and may your dreams become realities too! Enjoy!(I hope!)

Hey brother Ron, another fantastic one from a great artist.
Very nice to listen to before I go out for morning practice.
Now that I'm inspired, I should be able to play a bit better.
Sure would love to have a lot of that studio equipment to
play with. It sure looks a lot better than the equip I have.

Thanks for sharing that, Ronnie. I recognize a lot of the equipment. I hope you have it all mapped out in a schematic plan. My problem, as I get older, is remembering how things are hooked up. I have to leave myself little cheat notes such as, "If you want to record from A to B set so-and-so this way and make sure that the XXXX unit is switched to YY, and the ZZ is switched off."
You would be a good candidate for a "This is Your Life" episode. Winking

Where's the reel to reel recorder? I think that's the only thing missing except for a top of the line cassette player!

Hi ya Roy! Very Happy (Heap)
Thanks for the encouragement. I just wanted to encourage someone who might think that their career, or life`s dreams might be at an end. To me, I`ve always wanted, to have a studio to record in,(the Berry Gordy syndrome Shocked Laughing ),but I never thought it would become a reality. But thanks be to the ever developing technology, I`ve found that because of that technology, a person can have a recording studio, that fits on a kitchen table, instead of building a humongus live room, with all of the gizmos etc., with a budget of 2, or 3 million dollar investment, and in some cases, "almost" produce a quality record,CD,DVD, or anything else if they so desire. Shocked Laughing What a wonderful world, we live in. Laughing Thanks again my friend.
Ron

Hi Carl! Very Happy (Lucky, Dr. Smooth) Kilmer
Thanks for the comment on the equiptment, but anybody can do what I`ve done with a lot of the equiptment I had laying around the house. My missus, had wanted to throw it out, before I got started with this hobby of utilizing it, as a recording thing. The rest is, I kept adding more, and more stuff, that she squawks about Laughing but I keep going adding what I can,(when she is not looking). Laughing Somehow, it all works out. Thanks again my ole friend it is appreciated. Be happy,
Ron

Hey Alan! Very Happy (Brookes)
Man O Man, You scare me sometimes, with your acute insight to what I am doing on this end. You are absolutely correct, about a schematic plan, so that I will remember where all the parts go. The problem is I can`t remember what I did with the plan? Ha-ha! Naaw! I`m just kidding, but I do write down my set ups, to the best of my ability, and at times, I do misplace a few notes. As far as the "This Is Your Life" thing, it would be a "Charlie Chaplain" affair, believe me!!! Laughing Anyway, I`m having "Big Fun" pretending I`m "Berry Gordy"!!! Thanks my dear friend, it is always good to hear from you, Smile Winking

Hey Steve! Very Happy (Branscom)
Boy o Boy! You guys really pick up on the equiptment thing. You are right on it believe me! I have in my storage area an 7/1-2 Akai reel to reel recorder, that in weight it tips the scales at about 300lbs., that I need a crane to move it around, so it did`nt make the photo shoot because it was just too blasted heavy!!! Laughing But, I do have an Tape Recorder that from time to time, I use it for mastering purposes. (My wife would have thrown it out except she couldnt pick it up. Laughing ) Also there are a couple of Tascam MF-Po-1 Portastudio cassette recorders, that I use sometimes to record because they give such a warm quality of sound. Anyway, I thank you guys for all of your encouragement, it means a lot to this old man, and his hobbies. Thanks Steve, Be Happy!
Ron
