A Sho~Bud Fretboard Riddle
What should one do when one orders a new colored Sho~Bud fretboard and when it arrives via UPS, the fretlines are blue and so are the spade and club fretmarkers. The heart and diamond fretmarkers are red--kinda dull at that.
Also, it looks like one corner is chipped...
What would you do?

You guys are all smart, Frank is having fun because he was here when a package came back to the store with a sarcastic note stating that the customer wanted his money back, I didn't send him the correct fretboard, He wanted a Sho-Bud fretboard with white frets, not blue! Naturally the protective film on the fretboards is transparent blue, this , when removed, makes the frets white. Seems like everyone knows this except this one customer that loves to be mean, sarcastic, stupid. How much trouble will he have installing them if he can't even figure out how to unwrap them? Yes, I know, it's really funny! I just want folks to see how the retail business really is at times.
We had a guy send a video tape back the other day because it wouldn't fit in his VCR. After Brandy and Frank told him to take it out of the cardboard sleeve, he said it worked fine !!
Well, who said everything was easy?

Yeap, it was hilarious. I suggested to Brandy that she tell him that he had not finished opening it yet. He had sent the thing back.
I could just imagine after he puts it on his guitar calling Bobbe to complain how that frets 1 thru 12 are so narrow and out of tune!
BTW, the "chipped part" was a corner where the blue film was missing.

Kinda reminds me of the old mountain-man that had never seen a bananna. The guy at the general store showed him one, and said "You really should try one of these...they're from South America!" The mountain-man peeled the bananna, then ate the peeling, and threw away the bananna. The storekeeper gave him a funny look, and said "Well, whatd'ya think of that?" The mountain-man just shrugged, and said "Not too bad, but it's mostly all cob".

You guys have done it!! The funniest thread in months!
I haven't had so much fun since the guy that put his fretboards on his Sho-Bud backwards last year called to tell me his wife was complaining about his not being able to tune to her singing! ( it may not have made any difference how they were installed).
Donny Hinson, your as weird as ever! Thank God!.
I don't know if I enjoyed laughing at this poor Sho-Bud tech, or at Frank Estis for laughing along with me the most!
I guess I should post what "Mr. Sho-Bud Tech." said in the note to me, this was the funny part! He was mad at me, guess he thought I painted the frets blue, just for him!!! This is a funny world, and I'm sorta' glad it is!
[This message was edited by BobbeSeymour on 24 July 2002 at 09:43 PM.]
