Kayton uses the same rig he's used for years. In fact, it's the exact same guitar he played with Hank Snow for 35 years.

Rob, yes the Fender Dual Pro sound very good, these pickup are very responsive. I was close to buy one but I decide to order a single neck Clinesmith instead.

If you like this style you should look for Chris Scruggs too, he is a forum member and a living legend, he played with BR549, Marty Stewart and lots of other in Nashville.

Both use a great version of C6/A7. I now use this tuning and love it.

I am fairly inpressed at the sound and the price of Tremblay lap steels. The more guitar-looking one has a nice range of sound for 569.00 new. The more standard looking one has a Fender-like treble sound that sounds perfect for country/rock/alt. music. Being from the left coast of Canada (my wife is Quebecois) I am well aware of guitars like the old Normans (Quebec?) and Larivee (in Vancouver and now the U.S. I believe; another Quebecois originally, mais non?) Made out of Canadian maple and a combination of hardwood, sweet. However, I am still searching for that project 3 neck lefty Fender I saw a couple of weeks back on this site; must have sold)
