I've been tasked with re-assembling what appears to be a '53 triple neck Stringmaster and I think I've got the wiring understood however each pickup has 3 wires- the 3rd wire comes from the bottom copper plate of the pickup. Should I tie all those together and then run to ground or just tie them together? (Not sure if the pickups are original or not).

The wire from the copper plate should be tied to ground.

Thanks Michael. Would it be fair to assume that I could tie the ground wire from the copper plate to the ground side of the pickup base obviating the need to run 3 wires separately thru the guitar just to join them later?

The stringmaster pickups are generally wired in series rather than parallel so keep the ground from the baseplate separate.
