The Campbell Brothers...

...a very interesting editorial-length piece on the campbell brothers (see: sacred steel, slide brothers, robert randolph) in this week's issue of "The New Yorker" magazine--1/27/14...the brothers discuss the steel's beginnings in their church in the '30s, the church organization (headquarters in Nashville), and an early encounter with jimmy day...it's not worth buying the magazine for (6.99$), but is a good read if you can scrounge up a copy or maybe find one in your dentist's waiting room...
