Hey Bobby,
There's no picture in your post, but Kevin Clemons plays for the Presleys. He is an Iowa native. DeVere Adamson taught him early on.

It's a Williams. You can tell by looking at the changer. Supposedly the network didn't want to show the Williams logo as that would be "advertising" for the steel company. I was told that, but I have no verification of its validity.

Doug - I think you are right - That is what he normally plays - Don't understand the cover up tho - Nothing over Fender, Gibson, etc.

I Know He Has Played A Williams And I Saw It when the Logo Was Showing,,, I'm Suprised that they would only pick on the Steel Guitar Player when ALL the Guitars Say Fender , Martin Etc, On Them ,, He's Not Mad At Williams Is He ?? What About The Peavey Amps Etc , I find it hard to believe that Advertising would be a issue , but with All the things going on in the world it would't surprise me !

He had gotten a Rustler Steel and used it a few times on the show with some promotion of it on the side. I would guess something happened there and thus the flag over the Williams like we would not know. I would like to know the story. Does anyone here know? He had played this black Williams for quite some time and it does sound good. J.R.

I noticed he had covered the logo up and thought it was odd.

I've noticed that he played both Rustler and Williams steels. He makes them all sound good.
