I plugged in from vp to Lexicon 100 to eq patch out to amp is this right? If I move mid off of 0 it makes a lot of racket can any one tell me how to do this correctly? The amp is a Nashville 112. Thank's Wes

Wes, if you go from your volume pedal to the Lexicon and then to the amp, then you just plug in the normal input for the amp (1st hole on left).

If you want to use the eq patch for the Lexicon, then here goes:
Guitar to volume pedal
Volume pedal to normal input on amp (1st hole on left)

Pre EQ send to Lexicon IN
Lexicon out to Pre EQ Return

This puts the Lexicon in the EQ circuit and eliminates some noise and also lets you get the full sound of your steel through the volume pedal into the amp.

Hope this helps,
Bill

How have you got it set?
The MPX100 is alone among Lexicon as being happy with instrument level, so you could try turning down input and turning up the output.
What happens if you put the VP and reverb BEFORE the amp?
Does it "make a racket" if you just run a cable from out to in?
What kind of racket?

The pots on the Lexicons are notorious for being noisy when they are left in the same position. Rotate it rapidly a few times and see if it clears up. I have to do that to mine periodically.

Thank's fellows I don't like the sound that way I am going to stay with the Lexicon into the amp.

A little late, but FWIW I always got the best results with the guitar through gain-based effects straight into the front of my 112(or my Session 500),the VP isolated in the volume pedal patch and time-based effects isolated in the EQ patch. It doesn't hurt to run everything in line the way you have to with a Twin, for example, but I figured if the Peavey guys give you multiple patches there must be a good reason to use them.YMMV.
