Jerry Stout Estate - Steel Guitar Collection For Sale

Post by Jane Strickland »

Many of you met and knew my Dad, Jerry Stout. He passed away 2 years ago and had a collections of Steel Guitars, Amps, Tuners and accessories. As Trustee of his estate, I will need to sell all of his collection. My Mom recently passed away and she didn't want to sell so that is why we are just now selling this collection. My Dad, had a great love for steel guitars and for "The Steel Guitar Forum". He loved conversing with you and got to know many of you on here personally. Bobby Seymour, Jerry Roller, Terry Day, Scotty Henderson, Robby
Springfield and I am sure there are some I missed.
I will list everything I can and you can message me for pictures. Thank you!!

Here is the list of his collection that is left:

Steeler Choice PRO-1 With Sidekick Steel Guitar Bench
IBANEZ Stereo Cassette Player for guitar
Peavey Rage 108 Amplifier
(2) Volume Peddles - (1) Hilton Electronics W/Power Supply cord attached (1) Looks like a Bobbye Seymour Special.
Lots of CDs & Books (Bobbe Seymour, Mel's Bay, Chas Williams, Steelin the blues, and more)

I have seen this Emmons guitar up close and it is extremely clean. I don't recall seeing any blemishes on it. It is Derby red, (very pretty), and has either 4 or 5 knee levers. Since I didn't play it I don't know for sure if it has the 5th (vertical) but I do know it has at least 4. It is a LeGrande with 4 hole bellcranks. A very nice guitar.
