Any thought on this PEAVEY CLASSIC VT SERIES 2X12 TUBE

I have a chance to pick one up pretty cheap, but I am not familiar with them. Anyone ever hear one with a steel? Good, Bad, or Ugly is it worth $150.00?

My personal experience with this amp is that it has a narrow range of dial-able tone for steel. I got one around 30 years ago for around that price (used) and it was not an ideal steel amp. I cut it down to a head and it came in handy to leave at a practice space. It is definitely not awful. But for me it never grew into something I really dug. Plugging the head into nice speakers helped. But it is what it is.

To be specific, my amp is a 2 X 6L6 amp with solid state front end. It has two channels with a phaser & reverb. 50 watts.

jon,

thanks for the info, I was a little cautious about an old tube amp that did not start with the name Fender :) I think I will pass on it and stick with my 400.
