Douglas,
I and others have posted C6 discussions many times, often with information that would help a beginning C6 player. Click on "search" (Under the 'Add a Reply' button), and enter the following fields. If they are already filled in correctly, just skip them.
Search words: C6
Search Forum: Pedal Steel

You will find loads of threads discussing C6 (I tend to post in threads where there is a strong theoretical or practical angle on playing C6. That's why I suggest you use my name). There are a number of accomplished players who have posted in these threads. If you go through them patiently, you will find plenty to chew on and experiment with. Lots of theory and practical playing advice. When you get done with that, type in
Search Forum: Tablature
This will also get you to a load of C6 threads, includes some tablature of well-known songs. IMO, you should also get a course, but since you want to use the Internet, this is one way to get lots of useful help. .. Jeff

You need to contact Frenchy at Belen, NM. He has a course called "C6 Quick Start". It is very good! His e-mail address is: frenchys@flash.net and his web site is www.flash.net/~frenchys
