It might be aesthetically pleasing to center that single pickup on the body (so far from the bridge Whoa!

) but I have a feeling that's not at all good for tone.

Jeff I agree. I didn't care for there version of the frypay. I like the way the hollow body looks and they were newly listed with the 8 string guitar so I just posted them all.
This guy is playing one of the six strings models that sounds good. He is using a lot of reverb and maybe other effects. Here is his version of Sleepwalk on one.
