I bought a Remington steel this week and it came via Fed Ex today. It is really a nice instrument and I couldnt be happier with it. It was set up with A6th so I am messing with that...I am used to C6th but can see and hear some advantages of the A6th. It is a great instrument and I feel priviledged to own one made by the legend himself. Here is a picture of it along with a pic of my Melbert which I am also very pleased with.

Larry, congrats!!! Enjoy and let us know how you are doing with that new Remington. Don't forget to turn that fifth string down to D# and try some B11th also - a real quick change.
Hmmm...Remington, Carter, Roland Cube, Gibson Chet Atkins (?)....looks a lot like my "studio." |

Congratulations Larry on your new Steelmaster. Its a huge day for you! Like Webb said on your other thread, this is an addictive instrument. Hopefully you'll still find time for your other guitars. I myself come home with the intention to practice scales in E9 on the Sho-Bud I bought this year, but instead find myself sitting down at the Remington to practice some old Western Swing numbers that I've learned. So I end up having fun with the stuff I already know on the console instead of learning more new stuff for pedal. Some days it just can't be helped! |
