Just wanting some names of girl or guy singers
or bands over there that have great steel in their music.
There are so many great singers in the US that we
don't even get to hear over here unless they are
top shelf stuff. So would love to hear from you
guys

| Paul- I have a few suggestions for you from Texas. I have been blessed to play jobs with great singers, Tommy Hooker and Jody Nix, among others. Tommy's records feature Randy Rienhart, Johnny Cox, Jim Loessberg .. Contact: i2i Records or his website. For Jody, go to his website: his records feature Bob Kelly, Johnny Cox, Junior Knight... Another of my favorites is Bobby Flores, featuring many great steel players. Also contact: Startex Records, Jim Loessberg. Just some ideas! |

| Have a listen to Jason Boland and the Stragglers from here in Texas. Forum member Cody Angel is playing steel (as well as other instruments) for them right now. On most of the stuff previous to the "Squelch" album, forum member Roger Ray was with the band on steel.These guys are a top notch band. |

Amber Digby, particularly earlier stuff with her step father the late great Dicky Overbey on steel on Heart of Texas records ,out of Nashville is 45RPM featuring Mike Johnson on steel and his lovely wife Joanie on vocals.Anything Vince Gill is on.

Theres enough real Country Music in Texas to fill your tank twice !!!
Two that Randy did not mention are Dale Watson and Jake Hooker !!!!!
