Picked up my new Fessy at the Dallas Show.
SD/10 W/BL 710 Wood Body, Alium. neck. I'm
playing threw a Session 500 w/ mod. I love this tone & graw I'm gettin. To me this steel is a cross between a Emmons & Sho-Bud,
My question is for you fessy players, Does the Fessy remind you of any the Emmons & Sho-
Bud Guitar Sounds??? The pedal & knee action is so smooth on this guitar. Thanks for you comments.

I always thought both of mine sounded like the illegitimate child of an Emmons and a ZB. Image

Absolutely love the tone...
[This message was edited by John Macy on 27 April 2002 at 06:47 PM.]

John Macy, you must've read my mind.
Played mine last night after playing my Emmons for a while and it's a fun change of pace. It's NOT a push-pull sound but it's something unique that's kind of in that ball park, tonewise. It is a worthy competitor (or complement) for my push-pulls.

All guitars have unique tone. I just happen to like what comes out of the Fessy better than most of the other all-pull guitars. Jerry builds a great sounding guitar. And he did work at Sho-Bud, so there's probably some of that mojo in his guitars as well. He has told me that he shoots for the ZB sound. I'd say he hit the mark. (and that's a good mark to hit, in my opinion) Image
