Building of the E9th Copedent:

1932 J. D. Harlin and his brother engineered the Multii-Kord pedal steel.
1946 Epiphone added knee levers to the Varichord steel.
1952 Zane Beck adds lowering knee levers.
1953 Bud Isaacs adds E chord to A chord pedal.
1956 Buddy Emmons splits the pedal.
1957 Ralph Mooney adds high E to F# pedal.
About 1958 Jimmy Day adds middle E string.
About 1959 Ralph Mooney adds High G# string.
1962 Buddy Emmons adds high F# and D# strings.
1967 Lloyd Green adds the E’s to F Lever.
Early 1970’s Tom Bradshaw coins the word copedent.
