I see a dozen places where BIAB can be downloaded free. is this for real or a scam? need your help please.

I would stay away too. Far, far away.
You may be able to download a legitimate "free trial copy" from the PG Music site, but it will be limited in use.

I have a 2008 version of Band in a box along with Power tracks pro Audio package all there like new in boxes with all CD's and books the complete package as I bought it in Dallas at steel jamboree IN 2008 from Big Jim who was selling them then. Make me an offer and you pay shipping. XP compatable. Jerry
