Chuck will be playing Steel with us tomorrow nite at the Eagles in Kingman, our Bass player had to be off so I will be the Bass player and chuck will be playing his Desert Rose steel "live and in living color" from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. I am really looking forward to it. Chuck is a great player and a blast to be around. I can't wait to sing a few Rar Price shuffles with this great picker laying it down 4/4 time. Hope to see Larry, Mike and Jimmy,
Bill Bailey

Bill,
We're off tomorrow nite, but have plans for a birthday party with some of our kids, will be late when we get back.
Maybe we can all get together for a jam soon.

Chuck was just in Tucson over the Thanksgiving weekend and played one evening at The Maverick. A real treat to listen to, a monster picker and a great guy. He's one of those players that puts the pedal to the metal and plays with killer tone...

Gene, Chuck Back is a great steel guitar, and string guitar player, and sings his tail off on top of all that

Chuck also is the owner and builder of the "Desert Rose" steel guitars, and is just a super nice fellow to deal with.

Chuck recently moved his operation from Tucson to Kingman Arizona, and that's where him and Bill Bailey will be playing tonight.

Thanks Fred,
that is a great discription of Chuck. I will tell you that playing with Chuck for 4 hours was a treat. Chuck only sang 2 songs but he really is a great singer, if you like Johnny Bush you will love chuck's singing. All of the band mates enjoyed chuck's playing and I was in hogs heaven getting to play Bass and sing with his steel backing the vocals. He is playing with us New Years Eve and we will play twin steels if our Bass man can be there, otherwise I will be on Bass again. Chuck is a positive upbeat Cat and a joy to be around. Oh what a nite,

Bill, That would be correct on the blue color. If Chuck is breaking it in, I certainly hope he leaves some of those good licks in it.We had the pleasure of hearing Chuck at Lexington, Ky A couple of years ago at one of the shows. He was pro in every way. JW Day

I finally got to meet Chuck Back today and see where the Desert Rose guitar is now being built.
JW Day, I'm not gonna tell you I saw a "Beautifull" blue guitar being finished up!
Chuck repaired the trim on my Fessy where it was coming loose, and done a great job on it. It's really great to watch a craftsman at work!
Next thing on the agenda is to get out and listen to him wail on the steel!

Did you see a body being worked on that is burgandy and black?? If so and you go by his shop again, take a few pictures and send them to me, OK?

I'd love to see my steel and it's progress.

Chuck would take some pictures and send them but he is computer challenged.

Jack,
Chuck may be computer challenged, but it sure hasn't affected his steel building!

I've got a Carter steel headed my way, but I may just put in an order for a Desert Rose myself!
Larry

P.S. Bill Bailey was hangin around Chucks place with his tongue hanging out!! Be interesting to see how long before he has one. LOL.

J.W,
The color is kind of a Turquoise Blue, Tommy White had an Emmons Legrande for sale at the Emmons Booth at Scotty's Steel Guitar Convention some years ago that made me drool all over it, that is my color. Let me know when you get your Desert Rose Guitar. Take care J.W,
