November 10th is 238 years since the Marines were founded at Tunn Tavern in Philadelphia. Or as we used to say on a bad day, "238 years of tradition unhampered by progress" Laughing Laughing Laughing

I would like to have been at the party at Tunn Tavern in 1775, the Navy needed a "Few A Few Good Men", headed off to the local slop shute, probably bought a few rounds of grog and rest is history. From that humble beginning, 238 years of honor and valor. The mission has changed, but we can still plug um from the rigging.

I salute you every one, Marine!

This is my brother, who played guitar on the Buck and Dotty show outta Bakersfield in 1949-50.
He shipped out and went to Pusan and has never been sent home yet.

His story is here = http://tpicker.angelfire.com/allen.html

For a kid of 20 years he was a great guitar picker.
I never pickup my guitar that I don't think of him.

I built this webpage in order to try to find some of his buddies and have texted a few of them.

Any of you guys know him?

Thanks
Tee
