Super cheap Lap steel, Found on Ebay for under 40 bucks. I have seen these advertised as "Hawaiian Guitars" so I finally ordered one. Not great when fretted but I added a raised nut ($5.00) and it is great fun for practice. Fairly loud too!

How do you keep it on your lap?
It is so light, it slides off your lap all the time. Laughing

I don't have a problem keeping it on my lap. It is very light though.

One odd thing is the fret position marker in between the 11th and 12 fret... that threw me off at first until I figured it out.

It's body shape is similar to that of a Martin Backpacker guitar.

I have no vested interest in the sales but Here is the link on Ebay:

Dom:

You raised the nut but did you have to raise the bridge also?

I did not have to raise the bridge it is fine as is. I did. Locate it for better intonation

I believe that it's a Martin Backpacker, or equivalent, with a raised nut. A fellow camper at Keaola Baemer's camp a few years ago had one. I believe he as from Austria. They're not much for tone, imho. - Jack

Yes, it's a lightweight travel/backpacking/camper guitar. Our local music store sells these. They're super-light and they don't put out much sound. I have no idea why the seller put the words "Hawaii" and "Dulcimer" in the description.

Well, Doug, as often on eBay, the seller doesn't know what he has possession of. - Jack
