Other than playing steel guitar on country and honky tonk records and live shows...I also am Graham Reynolds Steel player on all the movie soundtracks he composes.
This event in Austin at the Long Center will feature a 15 piece orchestra with me and Redd Volkaert as the soloist and show how This composed music is done "LIVE".
Just wanted to share this with mainly the "Dont let the steel guitar die in one style of music" crowd...it PLAYS on MAN.
OH and most recent films with my steel guitar playing in it that Graham Reynolds composed all the soundtracks too are "Bernie" and "Before Midnight". Some past ones include "A Scanner Darkley" and Alex Jones "Terror-storm".

WOW!!! 14 piece Band depicting sounds of west texas; all composed by Graham Reynolds in Austin, Tx last night. What an incredible event this was; and I am in awe to be apart of such a elite group of musicians; I feel lucky.

It sounded like cool movie soundtrack music...ha..
Graham Reynolds does all the soundtracks for Richard Linkletter(sp?) movies; like "Bernie" "A Scanner Darkley" "Before Midnight" is just a few....and I played on all those movie tracks. We will have a CD out on this at some point. Earnest you know what this sounds like...you play and have played on a bazzillion movie tracks and scores..hello...ha....
