When your through playing, Which instrument cable has to be unplugged from the Goodrich h10k pedal (has pot and match box)? Is it the input or output jack? Thx

This has been industry standard for a long time... if in doubt, you can usually feel the extra contact when you plug in. _________________ Too much junk to list... always getting more. |

or if you're worried still, you could actually unplug both cables, though i know that's alot of work. |

Ive been using pot pedals and leaving the 3ft cable plugged into input for simple tear down after gigs. and likewise one less thing to plug in when setting up.
Couldnt get a clear answer searching on this topic. Ive read posts on the goodrich matchbox 6a and other models that say to unplug the output.
but not much on the h10k.. _________________ Keenan Friday

Keenan, the H10K is a battery miser. A good battery, like a Duracell, will last a very long time...even when left on (a plug in the input jack). It's only powering a buffer circuit (very low current draw).
So, I can understand how someone wouldn't notice a particular problem with battery life. I always carried an extra 9 volt for it, and rarely ever needed it...but I always unplugged it when tearing down.
I'm not recommending you leave it plugged in, just saying it's not something to get too worried about. _________________ Best regards,

Mike is correct. Any good buffer circuit should draw very little current from the battery.
However, if you're prone to be concerned, you might consider installing a 10-year lithium smoke alarm battery.
