Hi Guys,
The video of a very good performance by The Riders is on U tube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZWw87UgrwI
At about 6,25 the steeler does a very good run up the fretboard.
Can somebody explain the moves and preferably give some tab, please.
This is way over my head.
I am green.

Way easier than it sounds... pick 2, pick 4 and slide up a fret, repeat.

Thanks Steve. Not hard, but something I've needed myself.

Anybody work out the solo for "Califonia Day"? The song is @12:35 with the steel ride @14:16 (on the same show/link). Any help would be great!

Man, I got to see these guys in the late 70s, and back then I just had no idea how great they were! Thank you for posting the link to this performance. Brings me right back to that period of some really great music in my early teens. This went right along with other bands I listened to like Poco, America, Pure Prairie League, Little Feat, and of course, the Grateful Dead. I love this stuff!
