Does anyone know what guitar John Hughey used to cut the "Lost in The Feeling" record by Conway Twitty?
It sounds like an Emmons to me. Anybody know for sure?
Thanks,

i think john recorded with emmons through the bulk of the conway era. the only other steel i've seen him play is a zum much more recently.
i'd be curious to know which emmons it might have been. he's played many. |

Thanks Chris. I think it sound like Emmons to me. I'm sure it was probably a push-pull back during this time period. Not sure when he went to the all-pull guitar, but maybe it was after the JCH era.

oh yeah...forgot about the jch connection. who knows then, really? to me, all these steels pretty much offer up the same sound potential in the right hands.
i record with a zum and two different push-pulls and i can't tell which i used on some things. they all sound like me. i kind of favor the zum. |
