A question most of you should know the answer to...........

Some time ago a familiar name here on the SGF posted an inquiry about one of Jerry Byrd's instrumental arrangements on Mercury label.

His question was: Why did they name the tune Three String Swing?

His thoughts were.......because Chet Atkins and JB frequently played on just the first four strings.

Anyone really know the answer?
