Noel's touch, tone, blocking and feeling here is just so beautiful!

Your cut also shows how expertly Noel was with the foot volume control. His 'swells' were seamless.

Noel was also an expert at moving from one neck to another in order to acquire a different chord, even for just on 'count'. It was fun watching him play.

Very cool! His soloing reminds me of Bill Evans block chord piano style.

I really love is solo on the song Crazy Rhythm, I great mix of chord and fast single notes.

Beautiful clip. It hardly seems possible that exactly 39 years ago this Labor day weekend Noel died at the age of 56. Sadly, to me, this kind of steel guitar sound is rarely heard today.

According to the notes on the Amazon link that Andy provided, it was Benny Garcia.

Benny played on Tom Morrell's time warp top hand CDs. Great player.
