The HILL are features some of the finest Italian food anywhere, a short cab ride from the Hotel, Charlie Gittos, Tonys are favorites but they all have great food...
If you like BBQ got to Bogarts smokehouse, or Tuckers, or Pappys Smokehouse..also Miss Piggies but its farther out, Bandanas....
If you want to eat where the baseball crowd goes then Mike Shannons is in Downtown but its pricey, but darn good food and after the ballgames youll often see players, coaches and Mike holding court there...
If you have wheels and dont mind driving a bit you can get out of Downtown and go to Alton IL for Antiques ONE OF THE MOST SCENIC DRIVES IN AMERICA THE GREAT RIVER ROAD, ROUTE 100 along the Mississippi river, Its leads to Grafton IL and more Antiques and restaurants...
Collinsville IL has lots of Hotels, Motels and restaurants its about a 15 min ride out of downtown in Illinois...
