I really hate to miss one of my most favorite things but doing family things trumps my vice of steel guitar and backup guitar. I do look forward to the spring startup.
so, see you all next year and thank you all for being such good musicians and having a lot of fun.
You too Joe!

I'll be bringing the Infinity D-10, with my "final" copedents, and some spreadsheet copies for y'all to look at.

You're welcome to play a few tunes on it, and please give me some feedback on the pulls, and the Jagwire string sizes (I increased some by one AWG).

This is the "Emmons/Johnson/Franklin Hybrid" setup that I came up with. Personally, I like it a lot, but I invite your comments.

That weekend I'll be at Clemson-U to see them battle Georgia.

Sorry to miss out. I'm sure it'll be a great 2013 grand finale.

Sunday Sept. 1, 2013 will be our last jam session for 2013 and the American Legion is having free food available for all attending the festivities at the American Legion Post #593. Free Hamburgers, hotdogs, a covered dish table. Anyone attending is encouraged to bring a covered dish or dessert for the table. Come out and enjoy the jam session and enjoy the food and get to know the steel guitar players in the area. Our band will be with us and we want to say how much we've appreciated them through the last 8 months. All steel players or dobro players are encouraged to attend and plan to play no matter what your playing level. Please be set up and ready to play at 2pm sharp. ....Joe Rouse

One more item about our final jam session of 2013 is that Mike Ester will be our featured player. Mike is from New Braunfels Texas and has been playing the psg for the South Texas bands for 30 years. Mike has been contributing to our meetings for the past two years and we appreciate him greatly. Come out and hear this great player Sept 1, 2013 at the William Randolph American Legion Post #593 on Sunday, Sept 1, 2013 in Converse Texas....jr

I'm looking forward to this final blowout of the year. I'm bringing my steel and have an original song to play and challenge others to follow along. You know, it's pretty sad when the bass player starts playing pedal steel. But watching everyone else all year has given me the itch/urge. It's been a fantastic year and I want to thank everyone for their efforts in making this the success it is. See y'all Sunday.

I'll be cutting it close myself. Will be coming back from a gig in Concan. Not as far away as Texarkana, but still have a little drive time ahead of me.

I'd love to attend these jams. I've been trying all summer, but obligated to work. Its Cooter Browns at the Helotes Fair, then Mt. Breeze Campground on the river for me, but I hope to make it to the next one!
