Seeking info on a Dallas/Ft. Worth musician

I just heard that Dallas/Fort Worth based singer/bassist Lanny Long passed away sometime recently. Lanny sang with the great Tom Morrell's Timewarp Tophands among many others and was in several bands I played with back in the 1970's and 80's. I am seeking any info such as when and where he died and what was the cause. Any info would be much appreciated.

James - Just spoke with Gary Carpenter, and he related that Lanny passed away about 2 years ago. Wasn't sure what he died of, but stated not only was he a superb musician, he was a really great guy. If you need more info I can put you in contact with Gary. Just email me a
